Warm Meals for 500 Families This Winter

Our volunteers at the Eastside Community Pantry pack and deliver food boxes to families who are struggling to make it through the cold months. Each box holds two weeks of staples: rice, lentils, canned vegetables, cooking oil, oats and fresh fruit from local growers.

This winter we want to reach 500 families, double last year’s number. One contribution of $25 fills one box, and every box is delivered by a volunteer within the same week.

Where the money goes

• 92% buys food from wholesale and local farms
• 6% covers van fuel for deliveries
• 2% covers packaging
